How does Ground Penetrating Radar work?
Put simply; a GPR is a geophysical tool that uses radar technology to give a picture of what lies beneath the surface of the ground.
A ground penetrating radar works by transmitting electromagnetic waves through the soil. When these waves come into contact with an object within the ground, it reflects this message back to the GPR. Our GPRs take these messages through a receiving antenna, recording the data, and allowing you to pinpoint where your objects are buried.
